2 Timothy 2:15--"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
Nearly every Christian knows this verse of scripture. This verse tells us that we need to study the word of God. Why should we study God's word? So that we can show that we are an approved workman of God who is unashamed and able to rightly divide God's word. This is important for us to be able to do! The Bible is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice, therefore, we must know it and we must study it!
Study--strive; labour; set mind or thoughts upon a subject; to give attention; to meditate.
How can I be a good studier?
1) Go to class and ask questions.
2) Figure out how you learn best. (Visual, Hands on, Auditory, etc.)
3) Practice what you learn.
By putting what you learn into practice you can remember it your lessons.
4) Put in the time.
5) Give and receive help and instruction.
Study is hard work, but we must be students of God's word!
